"content": "This series introduces the ability for any github mirrors of the DPDK\nproject, including developer mirrors, to kick off builds under the\ntravis CI infrastructure. For now, this just means compilation - no\nother kinds of automated run exists yet. In the future, this can be\nexpanded to execute and report results for any test-suites that might\nexist.\n\nThe series includes support for both the 'classic make' style builds\n(which are set to be deprecated at some undetermined point in the future),\nas well as the modern meson+ninja build system. Additionally, there\nis support for building the ARM64 target with both the meson and make\nsystems.\n\nThe files added under .ci/ exist so that in the future, other CI support\nplatforms (such as cirrus, appveyor, etc.) could have a common place to\nput their requisite scripts without polluting the main tree.\n\nSome documentation is updated, making developers aware of the new\ntravis integration.\n\nThe integration can also be included on the official DPDK mirror. Build\nreports can be enabled by subscribing the travis build email to the\ntest-reports mailing list (this can be done independent of this\nseries being applied).\n\nv5->v6:\n - Removed all classic make builds\n\nv4->v5:\n - Renamed ARM64 to AARCH64.\n\nv3->v4:\n - Remove non-existing file form maintainers list: \n meson_cross_aarch64_gcc.txt\n - Renamed ARM64 to AARCH64 for travis environment variable\n\nv2->v3:\n - Removed duplicate file meson_cross_aarch64_gcc.txt. Used\n arm64_armv8_linuxapp_gcc file instead\n - Renamed ambiguous variable names and comments, including the variable\n KERNEL to DISABLE_KERNEL_MODULES and comment 'source for python' to \n 'Repo for python'\n - Removed an already-defined variable\n\nv1 -> v2:\n - Added patch 1/2, \"examples/vhost_scsi: don't build...\"\n - Included arm64 builds\n - Included multiple meson+ninja builds (full library, minimal library)\n - Included multiple 'classic make' builds\n\nMichael Santana (1):\n ci: Introduce travis builds for github repositories\n\n .ci/linux-build.sh | 21 +++++++++\n .ci/linux-setup.sh | 3 ++\n .travis.yml | 73 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++\n MAINTAINERS | 6 +++\n doc/guides/contributing/patches.rst | 4 ++\n 5 files changed, 107 insertions(+)\n create mode 100755 .ci/linux-build.sh\n create mode 100755 .ci/linux-setup.sh\n create mode 100644 .travis.yml"
